The Wind River Dojo Participant Waiver is a standard participant waiver that must be completed in order to participate in the practices. One of the questions on the waiver asks for your AAU insurance number, so please complete the AAU insurance before filling out the waiver. We prefer you fill out the online form, but we do have paper copies if you prefer.
Wind River Dojo offers very affordable Individual and Family membership options. We encourage you to utilize our convenient monthly recurring membership option. If the membership fee is an obstacle for you or your family, we do offer scholarships for training. Please speak with Pat, Brian, or Jonathan to learn how to apply.
Wind River Dojo does not have any requirements in terms of uniforms. For you first class(es) we recommend wearing exercise clothes. We have Gis (uniforms) that can be borrowed for any techniques that require them. Long term, you will want to purchase a Gi, as well as possibly a rash guard and grappling shorts. Fuji Sports has quality, affordable Gis, rash guards, & shorts. Ask an instructor about our wholesale discount.
Wind River Dojo utilizes Telegram to help keep our students, parents, and instructors informed about upcoming events, schedule changes, and general dojo updates. If you would like extra insurance coverage specifit to training, you can get Athlete Insurance [Standard or Extended] through AAU Sports by registering at https://aau-cfec.rsportz.com/. This is no longer mandatory, but a good, inexpensive option for additional health insurance coverage for training related injuries.
A Judo or Jiu Jitsu Gi is recommended. Loaner gis are sometimes available.
Fuji Sports has quality Judo & Jiu Jitsu Gis. Judo Gis tend to be less expensive and of similar quality to the BJJ Gis. Wholesale pricing is also available through the Dojo.
Amazon has several quality, inexpensive Gi brands. Elite and Sanabul are two brands many of our Dojo members have purchased.
